Terms of Use

Effective 2026-08-07

By using Antaeus you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, don’t use the app.

1. What Antaeus is — and is not

Antaeus is a workout tracking and training-guidance app. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for a physician, physiotherapist, or qualified coach. Guidance the app produces — including pain-related suggestions, form feedback, AI-generated programs, and the guided 1RM test — is training information generated from the data you log. The pain feature in particular provides training adaptations, not clinical assessment, and will tell you to see a clinician when your answers include red flags. Follow that advice.

2. Assumption of risk

Strength training, conditioning, and maximal-effort testing carry inherent risk of injury. You are responsible for your own health decisions: consult a physician before starting any exercise program, use appropriate safety equipment (racks, spotters, collars), and stop if something hurts. To the maximum extent permitted by law, you assume all risk arising from your training choices.

3. Acceptable use

  • Use the app only for lawful purposes.
  • Don’t attempt to abuse, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent the app’s AI endpoints, rate limits, or subscription gates.
  • The app may decline to process, generate, or export content — and we may revoke access to AI features in cases of abuse.
  • You are responsible for content you submit to AI features (photos, text) and must have the right to submit it.

4. Pro subscriptions

Pro features are sold as an auto-renewing subscription through Apple. Price and term are shown before purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the period — manage or cancel anytime in your device’s Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions. Payment is charged to your Apple ID; refunds are handled by Apple under their terms. A free trial, when offered, converts to a paid subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.

5. Your data

Your training data is yours, stored on your device — see the Privacy Policy for exactly what leaves the device and when. You are responsible for backups (Settings → Backup); we cannot recover data that existed only on your device.

6. Intellectual property

The app, its design, and its content are owned by Antaeus and its licensors. Portions of the exercise library are adapted from community sources under Creative Commons licenses — attributions are listed in the app at Settings → Credits. You may not copy, resell, or redistribute the app or its content.

7. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The app is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. AI-generated content can be wrong; treat it as guidance, not instruction. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Antaeus is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for injury arising from your training decisions; our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.

8. Termination and changes

You can stop using the app at any time; deleting it removes your local data. We may update these terms — material changes will be reflected here with a new effective date, and continued use constitutes acceptance.
